Olga Duhamel-Noyer is a Quebec writer and editor, born in Montreal in 1970. Initially trained at an art school, she submitted an entirely text-based, poetic project for her diploma. A lifelong reader, introduced to literature through her parents’ library, she eventually turned to the world of letters, driven by a love of reading that eventually materialized in the form of the profession of editor and, later, writer. Literary director of Éditions Héliotrope, she has also published five titles with the same publisher: the novels Highwater (2006), Destin (2009), Le rang du cosmonaute (2014), Mykonos (2018), Une autre vie est possible (2021), as well as the essay Motel univers: Bienvenue au Québec (2006). Her first publication, Highwater, was a finalist for the Prix Anne-Hébert, a Franco-Canadian award for first-time novelists. Her novel Mykonos was shortlisted for the Prix France-Québec.
