Born in Montreal of Haitian parents, Lorrie Jean-Louis is the author of poetry collections La femme cent couleurs (2020), Prix des libraires 2021, and Main d’œuvre (2023), published by Mémoire d’encrier. In 2021, Édito will publish Philibert, le garçon qui pliait son cœur, a poetic children’s book illustrated by Nahid Kazemi. Lorrie holds master’s degrees in literature and library science. She is a member of the editorial committee of Liberté magazine, and has served on the boards of Éditions du remue-ménage and the Salon du livre de Montréal. The poet is a literary consultant at Espace de la diversité.
