Lawrence Hill is the author of eleven critically acclaimed books. His novel Aminata (The Book of Negroes) is an international bestseller. The son of American immigrants – a black father and a white mother – Hill’s books address issues of identity, justice and belonging. He has lived and worked in various countries, including Spain, France, Niger, Cameroon and Mali. Professor at the University of Guelph, Lawrence Hill lives between Hamilton, Ontario and Woody Point, Newfoundland.
