Jocelyn Sioui is a Wendat multidisciplinary artist from Montreal. He is a puppeteer, actor and author. In 2013, he founded the OUF! Festival Off Casteliers, the annual event that brings together the most puppeteers in Canada. He published his first book Mononk Jules with Hannenorak in 2020. After adapting it for the stage in 2021, Jocelyn Sioui performed the documentary play Mononk Jules solo across Quebec. Through this artistic process, the author confronts the questions he has about Wendake, an Aboriginal community in which he did not grow up, but whose heritage and memories he inherited from his family. In 2021, Mononk Jules was selected as a finalist for the Prix Voix Autochtone.
