Literary rendez-vous in Palestine
Les “Rendez-vous littéraires” is an initiative launched in 2017.
In the past, EDLD has sent a delegation of authors to Senegal. While there, they were paired with local Senegalese authors. Together, the authors took part in various literary events, readings and meetings, the idea being to build bridges across borders.
In 2022, EDLD organized Les Rendez-vous littéraires in Morocco in Rabat. This presence was orchestrated by various partners: Espace de la diversité, Conseil des arts et des lettres du Québec, Bureau du Québec à Rabat, Ministère de la culture et des communications, Société de développement des entreprises culturelles, Association nationale des éditeurs de livres and Québec Édition.
Then, in May 2023, we proudly invited another delegation of Canadian authors to Palestine. These authors had the opportunity to meet Palestinian authors and take part in literary and cultural events in the cities of Yaffa, Haifa, Nazareth, Jerusalem, Ramallah, Bethlehem and Jericho.
