An invitation to celebrate literature

For the second year running, EDLD is delighted to be associated with the Festival International de la Littérature (FIL) for a series of literary meetings in the esplanade Tranquille, a magnificent space in the Quartier des spectacles named in honor of bookseller Henri Tranquille.

Among the guests at these Midis littéraires will be a strong presence of local writers of diverse origins, as well as from the entire French-speaking world, including Gabriel Robichaud (Acadia), Karim Kattan (Palestine), Yamen Manaï (Tunisia), Samira Negrouche (Algeria) and Gary Victor (Haiti). The encounters will address issues of current concern that resonate with the major issues of our society, but will also aim to offer a diagonal to the debates, at the frontiers of literary creation and thought.
