Avenue de la diversité
The Avenue de la diversité day, welcoming 160 speakers from the world of books and culture, officially inaugurates the Espace de la diversité.
Initiated in February 2016 by éditions Mémoire d’encrier, the Espace de la diversité was born of a desire: to open up spaces for encounters and dialogue of the imaginary through literature and books.
A not-for-profit organization operating in complete autonomy, the EDLD seeks to make voices resonate, highlighting the experiences of authors, readers and intermediaries of different origins who share a passion for words and an urgent need to rethink our relationship with others, in order to re-found the meaning of the word together.
Through activities, meetings and workshops, as well as collaborative projects on a national and international scale, EDLD aims to mobilize and circulate ideas, authors and books to different audiences.
Its mandate as a place for reflection and dissemination is to break down the barriers between cultures, communities, languages and literatures, with a view to contributing to the emergence of a way of thinking that embraces diversity.
I would like a tree that sings and a bird that makes a pact with the wind and a sea that unfolds its newspaper at dawn and a passport valid for all airports.
