Since its inception, the Espace de la diversité has made a clear choice: to offer literary events featuring diverse authors, as well as spaces for dialogue and connection that are entirely free. Why? To ensure we do not reproduce the barriers that prevent marginalized communities from accessing culture.
Like many independent cultural organizations, we are facing major challenges: cuts to funding for culture and equality, systemic pressures that weaken small structures, and an increasingly difficult political climate for initiatives defending social justice and marginalized voices.
